如果抓古拉顿或烈空座用掉了大师球，那这方法就比较难了。让大颚蚁或果然翁升到很高的级别（或者在冠军之路抓只超音蝠或大嘴蝠）。把先制之爪给有黑眼神效果的精灵。花点钱买点糖，尽量提高其速度。放在队伍顶部。

碰5个精灵以后，往东冲浪，然后进入暮水镇东边的水道。靠近暮水镇，再碰5个精灵。如果不是拉提奥斯就跑。然后重复上述步骤。频繁改变地点，会让你很快就遇上拉提奥斯。

如果你的大师球用过了。就赶快用黑眼神效果的精灵。用大颚蚁、果然翁降低他的血，然后扔一堆超高级球。如果你让对方倒下了，就重新开始。若他逃跑了，就可以用图鉴跟踪他，和金银水晶里抓三神兽类似。
小提示
- 如果你要在绿宝石中抓拉提奥斯，看看这个页面。
- 有时在空中飞会吓跑拉提奥斯。每次你飞到他附近的城市，他都会跑。因此你要用走路或冲浪的方式来抓到它。
- 黑眼神搭配快速精灵比蚁地狱的能力更好。黑眼神后，你可以用带有刀背打效果的精灵。
- 如果不能很快找到他，不要气馁。要记得这个过程要一段时间，可能你只是运气不到而已。
警告
- 如果你飞行追踪拉提奥斯，他会飞到其他各种地点。试着飞到临近的城市，然后开始骑车或走路追踪。如果你跑步，他有一定的可能性会逃跑。
- 如果你木有果然翁或大颚蚁，就用超音蝠或大嘴蝠。
- 如果有白色哨子（用来吸引精灵的哨子），就用用看。
