Minecraft最新版本（1.6.4）中是不会自动长出来的，需要和村民交易，或在废矿井的箱子里找出种子来种。有了种子以后，可以种下来，收西瓜，再种，再收！

至少有一个西瓜种子以后，可以自己开始种了。在水边播种，茎上的方块得是透明的（或者没有方块），旁边也得有个方块，到时候收割西瓜就在这里收。

种出来以后，打碎变为西瓜片。可以吃，也可以放在制作台中，再打碎变为西瓜子。
小提示
- 村庄只在扁平地形中出现（沙漠、平原、草原等）
- 探索矿井时要小心。蜘蛛、深坑、黑暗中的怪物，以及迷路，都是很可怕的敌人。
- 如果没有找到有西瓜的农民，可以把他们已有的东西买下来，这样就可能出现西瓜选项了。
