认真清洁和消毒老鼠到过的地方。老鼠呆过的地方会有致病源，必须彻底清洁。
小提示
- 倒点油在垃圾桶里，可以防止老鼠跳出。
- 大老鼠能从陷阱里跳出来。所以如果你知道你家老鼠个子大，就用个大桶。
- 保持整洁才能防止老鼠成群出没。特别注意食物要装在密封容器内，不要放在外面过夜。
- 如果你找不到合适的桌子或支撑物，你可以用纸皮或木板在桶口上弄一个斜面。要确保老鼠爬得上去而你的捕鼠卷纸芯又能在斜面的最高点保持平衡。
- 如果你买捕鼠笼，电子的会比机械的效率高。
警告
- 在确保已把洞里的老鼠赶净杀绝前，不要封死老鼠洞。不然，老鼠要么会另挖一个你不知道的洞口，让你一顿好找，要么就死在墙洞里面。
- 不要用毒鼠药。它会把老鼠毒死在墙洞里。这样，当死老鼠腐烂时就很不卫生。
